The Dartmouth Board of Health's mission is to foster healthy residents in a healthy community by working to protect the community from environmental hazards, to prevent the spread of disease and to assure safe water, a safe and healthy food supply, clean air and acceptable housing. The Board of Health strives to promote and educate for healthy behaviors and to develop and implement reasonable regulatory guidance to assure these goals.
