The Town Moderator is elected during the Town Election for a term of three years. The Town Moderator presides over all Town Meetings and abides by all rules governing the format and necessary vote requirements for each article on the Town Meeting floor. He/she also appoints residents to the town's Finance Committee and Personnel Board.
