Sometimes area agencies offer support groups that are available to the public or know of other agencies that do (they may have you call me, actually!) so it's worth contacting them also. The following link will take you our list of providers located on our Web site. Click here.
"Your Town" Community Website
Offered by the Standard Times. This is a good site to locate a wide variety of area support groups, including support groups related to grief, addiction, gay/lesbian, parenting, activities, etc. Once you locate your group and collect contact information, it's best to call in advance as some groups end or change meeting times without notice. Click here.
Don't forget Google!
Use Google to locate area support groups also. If you type in "support Groups, new bedford, ma" (without quotes) you'll get several possibilities. You can also narrow your search by using a comma after "ma," and typing in the subject that you're looking for help with. Click here.
