The Dartmouth Assessors Office will soon be sending Data Collectors out to all properties in Town to gather information for a property revaluation. This reinspection program is required by regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
The Data Collector who visits your home will ask to inspect the interior and exterior of your residence. Accurate information about your property is necessary to create fair and accurate assessments. Each Data Collector will have a photo ID and will be listed with the Dartmouth Police and the Dartmouth Assessors Office.
If you are not home when the data collector visits, a card will be left on your door asking you to call the Assessors Office to arrange an inspection.
This program could take up to three years to complete.
