Storytime is held every Friday at 11am at Southworth Library alternating with our Children's Librarian Christie Phillips and our Information Services Librarian Brian Walsh. No registration required.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Storytime/Playroom is unavailable at certain times during the week due to class visits and seasonal therapy dog sessions. Families are welcome to come use the play room when it is available. It is NOT available : Mondays 10:30 – 11:00, Tuesdays 1:00 – 3:00, Thursday 2:00 – 2:30, Fridays 1:15 – 2:30.
We invite children, from babies to toddlers, to come and enjoy songs, books, fingerplays, and fun. Caregivers must attend the program with their children. No registration necessary. Parents and babies up to age 3. The 20 minute interactive program is held in the Storytime Room on the lower level of the Southworth Library September through December and again from January through May.

Mother Goose on the Loose
We invite parents and children up to age 2 to attend this nursery based program. This is a 30 minute literature based program that is presented in libraries around the country. Through the use of puppets, music, rhymes, instruments, and adult – child interaction we will encourage the love of reading, promote school readiness, and early literacy. No registration necessary. Led by the Children’s Librarian, this program has met with great success in public libraries across the country. It is held in the Southworth Library Storytime Room from September through December and January through May - Stay Tuned for the Return of This!

Southworth Library Auditorium. Boys & girls ages 5-13 are invited to bring their laptop, tablet, or other device to the library to plan Minecraft!
No registration needed. Kids need to bring their own device, sign onto the library’s WIFI network, and then can play away with other kids in attendance
