Program Policies

All programs are offered on a first come, first served basis. Dartmouth Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet sufficient enrollment. Please register at least one week prior to the start of class to avoid possible program cancellation.

Program Course Confirmation

No confirmations are sent out. A participant is registered when payment is received. We will only notify you if there are any problems.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of registration by check or money order ONLY made payable to the Town of Dartmouth. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for any check returned for insufficient funds.

Refunds

No refunds will be given unless class is cancelled.

Program Location

All programs will be held at the Dartmouth Recreation Center (former smith neck school), 487 Smith Neck Road, Dartmouth, unless otherwise stated.

Videotaping and Photography

At times media outlets such as the local newspaper or DCTV may want to photograph or video the kids at play to go along with a story or informational video or we may want pictures to display in the Parks & Recreation Office or on our website. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or videotaped, please put this request in writing and send it to the Parks & Recreation office.

Weather Cancellations

If Dartmouth Public Schools close due to inclement weather, no classes will be held on that day. If the class must be cancelled during the weekend, you will receive a call from the instructor.

Instructors

All Dartmouth Recreation Instructors undergo a CORI background check by the State Criminal History Systems Board prior to teaching any class.
