Holiday/Winter Cupcake Decorating Competition for 9-12 year olds
Saturday, December 16th
2:30 - 3:30pm
North Branch Library
A holiday/winter themed cupcake decorating contest in the style of “Cupcake Wars”.
All participants will decorate two cupcakes themselves based on themes that will they will
pick out of a hat that day. There will be two separate rounds with one cupcake per round. Judging will take place after each round.
We will provide participants with cupcakes, frosting, pretzels, and marshmallows.
It is up to participants to bring in any other supplies that they need.
Winners will be announced at the end of the competition.
Judging will be based on overall appearance, creativity, and theme.

Please stop by either Southworth or the North Branch Library to register
starting November 24th.

The Southworth Library's Children's Department is located on the lower level of the Southworth Library and serves children from infancy to their middle-school years. The Children's Department includes:
- Books, movies, audiobooks and music CDs
- 3 computers for Internet, word processing and the library catalog.
- A Story Time Room which contains a puppet theater with puppets, a train table, assorted toys, the library's board book collection, and the Nancy St. George Early Literacy Collection.
- Early Literacy Station, a kid friendly computer with over 50 learning games on a variety of subjects. Opening the Door to a Lifetime of Learning.
- AfterSchool Edge, a complete, all-in-one educational computer solution that features content for all elementary school grade levels. The content covers all curriculum areas, including math, art, science, and vocabulary. With over 60 educational programs and hundreds of activities, children of every learning level will find the AfterSchool Edge engaging and fun.
The North Branch Library's Children's Department serves children from infancy to their middle-school years. The Children's Department includes:
- A window seat area with comfortable seating and oversized stuffed animals.
- A children's craft room off the main Children's Department.
- 1 Early Literacy Station, a kid friendly computer with over 50 learning games on a variety of subjects. Opening the Door to a Lifetime of Learning.
- 2 public computers.
- A selfcheckout station.
- Books, movies, audiobooks and music CDs.
- A puppet theater.
