General Information / Policies
Program Policies
All programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, all are welcome. Payment is due in full by check at the time of registration. Please note that the playground centers fill to capacity quickly. Be sure to register early for multiple weeks. Dartmouth Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet sufficient enrollment. No program confirmations are sent out. A participant is registered when payment is received. We will only notify you if there are any problems. Switching to another program or week is not permitted once that program has been filled.
Late Pick-up
There will be a $20 charge for a 15-minute late pick-up, $30 for 30 minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and $50 for an hour. After one hour child and family services will be called if there is no response from the parents or the emergency contacts. Continuous tardiness and or failure to pay the late fees will result in the child's non-refundable termination from the program.
Parent Packets
Parent packets will be handed out at the time of registration for the Playground Centers or can be downloaded from the town website prior to registering. Enclosed you will find several forms such as medical, discipline and parental policies to be completed prior to the start of all programs. In addition, a physical exam form from your child's pediatrician is required; dated within one year of the program start (for full-day programs only). You will not be able to register for these full-day programs without the Doctor's form!
Payment / Refunds
Payment is due in full at the time of registration by check or money order only made payable to the Town of Dartmouth. A fee of $25 will be charged for insufficient funds. No refunds will be given unless the program is canceled.
Videotaping & Photography
At times media outlets such as the local newspaper or DCTV may want to photograph or video the kids at play to go along with a story or informational video or we may want pictures to display in the Parks and Recreation Office or on our website. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or videotaped, please put this request in writing and send it to the Parks and Recreation office.

All Dartmouth Recreation Instructors undergo a CORI background check by the State Criminal History Systems Board and are CPR certified.
Age Requirements
Age requirements must be followed in order to maintain the state requirements of one instructor per ten students ages 7 plus and one per five students ages 5 and 6.
