Board of Health Mask Advisory, August 25th 2021
The Dartmouth Board of Health strongly advises the public to adhere to the recent CDC advisory that all people wear face coverings indoors regardless of vaccination status due to the presence of the highly infectious Delta variant.
Additionally, this reminder is necessitated because of recent trends of COVID-19 transmission at levels above that of last year at this time in Dartmouth and the region.
Furthermore, risk of transmission is expected to rise as summer ends and we return indoors.
For additional protective measures, the following may be considered:
- Social distancing indoors and outdoors
- Limit travel in personal vehicles to members of household cohort
- Limit indoor gatherings
- Conduct meetings virtually or other remote means of participation
If you have any symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who is infected; please remember to stay home when feeling sick and seek immediate testing for COVID-19. While awaiting results, isolate from others.
Lastly, please consider being vaccinated; if you have not already done so, and contact your physician if you have any questions or concerns about the vaccine.
