  • The 2020 Spring Annual Town Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00am and will be a REMOTE MEETING via ZOOM. Zoom information will be provide to Town Meeting members in your Town Meeting Warrant packet that was mailed to you on Wednesday, June 10, 2020
  • Practice session will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 @ 6pm and on Thursday, June 18, 2020 @ 12pm. Please use the Zoom Meeting ID and Password on your Warrant to connect.
  • General Public can view the meeting on DCTV Comcast Channel 18 in Dartmouth, online at DCTV channel 18 live stream here, or on DCTV YouTube page here

June 5, 2020:

  • Last day to Register to Vote for the Annual Town Election on June 23, 2020 is Friday, June 12th from 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM. You can register on-line or by mail or in person.  You can go to the Town of Dartmouth’s website:  www.town.dartmouth.ma.us and click on departments then Town Clerk and then click on the blue tab on the left that says Election Information and you can print a voter registration for or click online voter registration and it will bring you to the State’s page for online registration.  If you have any questions you may contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 508-910-1800. 

  • REMINDER TO ALL REGISTERED VOTERS

    •  Absentee Ballot or Early Voting is available to all registered voters for the June 23, 2020 Annual Town Election Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic

    • All registered voters have the ability to vote by mail. Absentee Ballot or Early Vote Application is available on the Town website at: www.town.dartmouth.ma.us for a form or send a written note saying that you wish to vote by mail and include your signature on the note along with your name, address and where to mail.  Signed requests may be returned to the Town Clerk's Office by mail: 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747or by scanning and then emailing: [email protected], faxing to 508-910-1894 or by depositing your request in the silver drop box located in front of Town Hall.  Please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 508-910-1800 with any questions. 

May 29, 2020:

  • The Annual Town Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2020 was postponed by Select Board on May 11, 2020.  A new date has not be announced at this time but will be posted once a date has been voted on by the Select Board.

May 13, 2020:

  • Spring Annual Town Meeting scheduled for June 2, 2020 has been postpone. The Select Board will discuse a new date for town meeting at their meeting on June 2, 2020.

  • The Annual Town Election will be held on June 23, 2020. Hours will be 8:00am - 7:00pm. Please note that we have temporary polling locations for this town election only. Click on link here for temporary polling locations.

April 5, 2020:

   While Town Offices are closed the Town Clerk's Office will be able to provide the following services and if they require a fee they can be processed either by check or credit card and documents must be mailed:  

  • Dog Licenses
  • Certified copies of Births, Deaths and Marriages
  • Election Items:  Any candidate needing to drop off nomination papers can do so by mailing them, dropping off in the silver box in front of Town Hall and including a Contact number, and  self-addressed stamped envelope for their return.
  • Registering to Vote:  You can do this online, printing a voter registration form from our page or call the office and we can mail you  a voter registration card.
  • Absentee Ballot or early voting requests for upcoming Town election can be mailed, emailed or dropped in the silver box.
  • Please make sure that all request have a real signature (not a computer generated) in order to process your request.  Also, please make sure they include contact information either a phone number or email address should we have any questions

The Following Services are NOT available at the current time:

  • Notary Service
  • Oaths for Notaries
  • Filing of Marriage Intentions
  • Justice of the Peace Service

March 26, 2020:

   The April 7, 2020 Annual Town Election POSTPONED.  New date to be set by Select Board at an upcoming meeting.  Once date is set information will posted on the website and news outlets.

   Legislation has allowed for the following to take place for the Annual Town Election:

  •           Allows any person taking precaution related to COVID-19 to vote by ABSENTEE BALLOT.  All applications for an absentee ballot must be received by the Town Clerk before noon on the day before the election. (the last business day before the election.)  A voter may apply for an absentee ballot by sending/emailing or faxing a signed (real signature not computer generated) request to the Town Clerk’s office.  Applications can found here
  •           The Law also allows for early voting by mail only.  All applications for early voting ballots must be received by the Town Clerk before noon on the day before the Election. March 23, 2020:

  • The Annual Town Election has been postponed to a later date at this time.  This web-site will be updated with new election information and Dartmouth Community Television will also be posting information regarding the election.
  • Town Clerk will be available from March 25th – April 7th by Phone or Email only during the following hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Due to the Town Hall being closed to the Public we are unable to take any filings for a Marriage Intention for any upcoming wedding within the  next 60 days.
  • We are processing requests for Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates and Death Certificates in the following manner:
    • Pay by phone with Credit Card
    • Check payment by mail or Silver drop box out front of Town Hall
  • Dog Invoices were mailed on March 19, 2020 we can process these payments in the following manner:
    • Pay by phone with Credit Card
    • Check payment by mail or Silver drop box out front of Town Hall
    • Please make sure if you are mailing in or dropping off in Silver box that you include a copy of the current rabies certificate in order for us to process.
    • You may also call our office prior to submitting payment to see if the rabies are up to date.
  • We are unable to do Notary Service, Oaths for Notaries at this time.
