The Town of Dartmouth Select Board, along with all municipal departments, are sensitive to the seriousness and complexity of the COVID-19 Corona Virus situation. We recognize that this developing situation is causing anxiety in Dartmouth and beyond. We want to reassure the public that we are working diligently to protect the community.
Through the Board of Health, the Town has been in continuous contact with Massachusetts Department of Public Health to monitor the impact of, and develop measures to limit, the spread of the coronavirus in our community. Furthermore, the Board of Health has been continually updating the Town’s website with the most current and urgent information, which can be accessed from the Town’s homepage, or directly here:
Additionally, the Town is working on implementing enhanced cleaning across all town facilities, providing greater access to hand sanitizer, and evaluating contingency plans for the continuation of essential public services. The Selectboard, Town Administrator, Director of Public Health, Superintendent of Schools, and other relevant department heads have been working to respond to the State of Emergency as announced by Governor Baker.
We continue to receive updates from the Department of Public Health, and our regional partners. As the Town receives additional information we will revise and augment plans accordingly. As experience demonstrates in the past 24 hours alone, needs and plans can change from day to day or from hour to hour. Working together we can minimize risk for everyone
Moving forward, in order to provide accurate and timely information during this process, please check the Town’s website regularly. Also, any questions or concerns should be directed to the Town of Dartmouth Health Department (508) 910-1805 or the Town Administrator/Selectboard office (508) 910-1813
